Medicare Insurance

Medicare Insurance
Medicare is a federal health insurance program in the United States that primarily serves individuals aged 65 and older. It also covers certain younger individuals with disabilities and those with specific medical conditions. The program is administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and provides health coverage through different parts.
Medicare Parts:
Part A (Hospital Insurance):
- Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care.
- Most people receive Part A automatically without paying a premium if they or their spouse paid Medicare taxes while working.
Part B (Medical Insurance):
- Covers outpatient care, doctor services, preventive services, and some home health care.
- Requires the payment of a monthly premium, and the amount is income-dependent.
